When we are improperly fueling our bodies, it will make all kinds of compensations to survive, including robbing itself of important minerals (such as calcium from our long bones, teeth and jaw).

If we are in a constant state of stress mode, the amount of cortisol that is being produced is robbing the body of testosterone, progesterone, and estrogen.
When we take in too much sugar in the form of carbs, sweets, or otherwise, more than the body can handle, the liver will not convert the glucose into glycogen, it will convert it into body fat and store it. For others, it will be a constant battle of blood-sugar spiking and crashing, resulting in hypoglycemia issues.
Carbs are tricky, and over time, since the body sees them as sugar if we are overloading the system, the body keeps churning out more insulin, the cells get overwhelmed and eventually stop letting insulin do its job, resulting in insulin resistance, which has become a very big problem in our country.
These are just a few examples but are used to explain just how precise and masterful the body is at its #1 goal, which is survival.
The body knows what to do, it is a perfect healing mechanism. It just needs to be fueled efficiently.
