Often times, I hear from people who feel something is just “off” or they don’t feel like themselves. This is a concept that is not foreign to me in the least, and why energy work is such a beautiful healing modality. We are all unique beings and process things differently. Therefore, energetically, we can develop bumps in the road all over our energy pathways. We can also develop disturbances in our energy field.
Energy. This may seem strange to many reading this. Well, here’s the lo-down on the concept from my vantage point:
Let’s just start with the basics of what is common knowledge. Our brain cells communicate via electrical impulses. Our heart beats by way of an electrical conduction system. Both of these can be measured, and that is common knowledge at this point… But an electromagnetic field is invisible to the human eye. Bummer.
Fact is, we are surrounded by an energetic field, unique all to ourselves.
The work I do with Human Soundcheck with the tuning forks (and my hands) takes place within the energy field surrounding the body, the “biofield” or bioenergetic field.
Of course, I do a significant amount of work within the chakra system. That is just one of the energetic systems of energy that we have within our amazingly organized structure.
Sometimes, our intention is focused on particular organs (and their energy field). Then, going even deeper, I may switch focus to the Meridians associated with Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Meridians are amazing energetic pathways that form an organized network all throughout the body. They are channels, or energy pathways that our energy flows through.
These subtle energy fields that I tap into in any given session are why this practice is considered “energy work”.
Each session is unique, just as each client is. The goal is always to feel a sense of well-being and inner peace when the session comes to a close. In addition to feeling at peace, I like to make sure my clients leave with powerful tools!
